Youth Theater to Have Online Classes

The No Boundaries Youth Theater (NBYT) has announced that it will be holding its class programming this summer online because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“NBYT has had to make the difficult decision to cancel our planned in person summer production of Seussical Jr,” the Youth Theater says.

“The future doesn’t wait for anybody however,” says the Theater, “so in order to meet the current challenge, NBYT is proud to announce our first slate of online classes!”

The Theater says that, “Each class lasts 1 week, will meet for at least one hour each weekday, and many offer some direct 1 on 1 feedback to each student.”

Registration is available at the NBYT website at nbyt.org.

“Discounts are available for signing your child up for multiple classes at once!” the Theater says.

The Theater recently added that, “Each class has a minimum number of participants to run, and remember we do offer financial aid- so don’t let that stop you from registering, reach out and we can work with you.”

Asking people to consider donating to the Theater program at its website, NBYT says that,

Like many other businesses and individuals, the COVID-19 pandemic is having a negative impact on NBYT’s ability to do business and earn revenue to pay our expenses and cover the cost our programs. If you are able, please visit our Donate page to see some of the ways you can contribute to NBYT

NBYT says that,

Founded in 2010 as New Britain Youth Theater and selected by Connecticut Magazine as Connecticut’s Best Children’s Theater in 2017, No Boundaries Youth Theater is a professionally-run community and educational theater for children and teens. The name change in 2018 reflects that NBYT is—and always has been—a youth theater that accepts children from all towns and communities, with all abilities, with all levels of experience, and to be involved in a variety of ways both onstage and off!

“We miss our young thespians and look forward to the day when we can bring this type of programming back to our community,” the Theater has said.

But, the Youth Theater says, “NBYT is very excited to begin offer new programs, and we hope you’ll join us as we dust of the cobwebs left by our recent shutdown, even if only electronically.”

NBYT’s Studio Theater is at 90 Main Street.
