Rep DeFronzo and Lt Gov Susan Bysiewicz to Host Polish Day at the Capitol

State Rep Dave DeFronzo (D-26) will be joined by Lt Gov Susan Bysiewicz (D0 and the Polish Legislative Delegation at the 35th annual Polish Day at the Capitol.

The event commemorates the 235th anniversary of the Polish Constitution and is a traditional celebration of Polish history, culture and the many people in Connecticut with Polish heritage. New Britain is renown as a key center of Polish culture.

The event is to be Thursday, April 30th, at 10:00am.

Rep DeFronzo’s office says that, “The celebration will be held in the North Lobby of the Capitol at 10 a.m. including performances by the Polonia-Paderewski Choir and the Polish Scouts. During the ceremony, Jason Jakubowski (CEO of Connecticut Foodshare), Ansonia Mayor Frank Tyzska, Joanna Michalski (New Britain Polish Saturday School), State Representative Tami Zawistowski, and State Representative Mary Mushinsky will be honored for their significant contributions to the community with a citation.”
