Mayor Sanchez Hosting Groundbreaking Ceremonies for Willow Street Park Expansion

Mayor Bobby Sanchez (D) has announced that he, as well as other city officials, community leaders, and project partners will gather for ceremonies to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Willow Street Park Expansion Project.

City Director of Operations & Communications Alisha Rayner said that the project is, “an investment that will enhance recreational opportunities, improve public spaces, and create new amenities for residents and families.’

“The project represents a significant step forward in the City’s ongoing commitment to neighborhood revitalization and expanded access to safe and welcoming outdoor spaces,” Mayor Sanchez’s office added.

The event is to be Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10:00am.
