NBMAA First Friday Features Soul Sound Revue Oct 5th
The New Britain Museum of American Art’s popular First Friday event will feature the musical group Soul Sound Revue in October.
The October 2018 First Friday will be on October 5th.
“Slip into the fall season and prepare to boogie all night,” said the Museum. “This October, enjoy irresistible harmonies, infectious beats, and a heavy dose of musical nostalgia as nine-piece, Soul Sound Revue invade the NBMAA!”
The Museum says that, “Consisting of equal parts flash, style, and musicianship,” Soul Sound Revue, “utilizes three vocalists and a powerful rhythm section to recreate the sound of The Four Tops, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, and many more.”
“The band is considered one of the area’s best dance acts,” says the Museum, “and has even drawn praise from entertainer, Whoopi Goldberg!”
First Friday is a monthly event hosted at the Museum. In a festive atmosphere in the halls of New Britain’s own world-class art museum, guests are treated to food, beverage and music.
Guests that this month’s event may also enjoy offerings from Roger’s Orchards and New Britain’s Kinsmen Brewing.
“While you’re there,” says the Museum, “take advantage of a free docent-led tour through the Museum’s vast collection.”
The event is held from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Admission to the event is $7 for Museum members and $12 for non-members.
